Auditor training can vary depending on your background and experience.

Audits can be divided into two types technical and compliance.

A technical audit assesses if the controls are adequate to protect the product.

A compliance audit assesses if the documented procedure are been followed.

ESD auditors need a basic understanding of electrostatics and an in-depth knowledge of the procedure/standards that applies.
