Gannon
& Associates offer four different training modules which can be tailored
to meet your specific needs.
Assistance
in developing a complete static control programme:
General:
ESD sets some unique training challenges:
- Extent: Virtually everyone requires training. (Stories of untrained
cleaning people waxing anti static floor abound).
- Credibility: "Can I really damage devices just touching them?"
- Complexity: The answer to so many questions is "it depends" Material/humidity/materials/speed
of contact/separation etc.
- Myths abound: It's safe to handle ESDS devices after touching ground.
This comprehensive training programme:
Has different training modules to deal with education level and experience.
Allows employees to see and experienced static so that they believe
it damages products.
Debunks common myths.
A mixture of hands on training, CD's, videos and booklets is used to
achieve training results
Training effectiveness is verified, this is achieved using a written
examination. Re-verification of employee ESD understanding is periodically
required to ensure system is maintained.

Module
2:
Intermediate ESD Control. This training is aimed at management, engineering
personnel and others involved in setting up and maintaining an ESD control
programme.
All sessions in Module 1 training are included here but with greater
depth on the systems elements of the control programmeme.

Module
3:
Advanced Electrostatics - Generation, Control & Other Phenomena Physics
principles are used to explain phenomena such as triboelectric charging,
faraday cage protection and ESD related phenomena.
Detailed descriptions of failure models and standards used in the industry
to evaluate and control ESD are discussed.

4:
Train the Trainer - Developing a Comprehensive Training programme This
training allows the customer develop the customer's own in-house personnel
to perform any of the modules listed.
We provide training materials, train the trainer and follow-up with feedback
and coaching sessions.
